Aviation Influence, Inc. (AVi) is proud to announce the David Goodlin Memorial Flight Training Scholarship in memory of David Goodlin. 

Whether it was raising kids, mentoring pilots or teaching sailors, Dave gravitated towards those that showed initiative, accepted a challenge, always came prepared, and those with a good work ethic. It wasn’t those that were the most naturally gifted or always came in first, it was those that overcame obstacles and showed grit that inspired him to further his craft/instruction. 

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Hold a valid student pilot certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or applicable governing authority, and provide documentation for verification
• Provide evidence of active student pilot enrollment, and remain in good standing, with a credible flight school, academy, university/college aviation program, or flight training facility
• Demonstrate financial need through essay submission, including a clear explanation of circumstances
• Be between the ages of 16–22 at the time of application
• Show active involvement in at least one aviation industry association or organization, such as Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), Women in Aviation International (WAI), Women in Corporate Aviation (WCA), or similar recognized organizations

Aviation Influence, Inc. (AVi) is proud to offer the Civil Air Patrol (CAP) WING Scholarship, designed to support CAP cadets pursuing education and training in aviation and STEM-related fields.

This scholarship is inspired by the longstanding relationship between AVi and the Civil Air Patrol (CAP), whose members have been active participants and valued contributors to AVi-led youth outreach initiatives and aviation events over the years.

In recognition of that shared commitment to developing future leaders, AVi established this scholarship to invest directly in CAP cadets who demonstrate dedication to service, initiative, and a passion for aviation and STEM.

The program also aims to expand access and opportunity across the CAP community, encouraging participation from individuals of diverse backgrounds, including women and underrepresented groups in aviation.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be an active Civil Air Patrol (CAP) cadet in good standing, or provide verification of prior CAP service through the Civil Air Patrol
• Show evidence of enrollment, or intent to enroll, in one of the following:
  
  • A flight training program at a credible flight school or aviation organization
  • An accredited STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Aviation, Mathematics) educational program
• Flight Training Applicants: Must be enrolled, or in progress, with a recognized flight training program (e.g., Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), CAP-affiliated programs, or accredited flight schools)
• Demonstrate academic potential with a minimum GPA of 2.5 (if applicable)
• Demonstrate financial need through responses within the application
• Meet age requirements:
  • Flight Training Applicants: Ages 16–22
  • STEAM/Education Applicants: Ages 12–22
